A: The Ninja 650 has a tapered stem rather than a true cylindrical one, which means stem-based mounts can never get a fully secure grip. They'll tighten down but gradually work loose from vibration over time. This bracket bypasses the stem entirely, so that problem doesn't apply.
Q: Do I need to buy a Quad Lock separately?
A: It depends on what you select. US customers can add Quad Lock Concealed Base, Knuckle Adapter, Vibration Dampener and mount head as a bundle at checkout. If you already own a Quad Lock setup, just select the "I Already Have This Component" options. A: Yes. The bracket is fully compatible with the Quad Lock Wireless Charger, Vibration Dampener, and standard head mount.
Q: Do I need the Quad Lock Vibration Dampener?
A: Quad Lock strongly recommends the Vibration Dampener for motorcycles to protect your phone's camera stabilization hardware from engine vibration. We recommend it too - it's included in the bundle option for US customers.
Q: Is this compatible with the 2025 and 2026 Ninja 650?
A: Yes, the bracket fits the 2025 and 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650.
Q: What's the install like - Do I need any special tools?
A: The only "special" tool required would be a 5mm Allen wrench for the clutch cable holder bracket and a 3mm Allen that comes with the Quad Lock for the accessories. The bracket mounts to your bike's existing hardware and is designed to be straightforward to install. Just take out the clutch cable holder bolts and install the phone mount bracket using the same bolts and place on top of the existing bracket.
I’m usually not the one to write reviews, but I feel like I have to on this. I have been looking for a solution for the issue that everybody can’t seem to find out how to fix. I’ve heard many things like add different washers or use a different type of pro mount, but I don’t feel like messing around with that. I ordered this and it is the most absolutely perfect solution I could find and it was a very easy install. I recommend this to anybody with a Ninja 650 as it is the best solution to mount your phone. Got this today and easy to install. Having a samsung ultra i have mine sideways. It works with the quad lock damper great. Very much worth it. I like it much better then the quad lock stem mount.
